SINCE 1975, more than 30 years exceeded after the first rod was made in Restaffine.
The special aluminum handle, favorably received by many users since the beginning of production, is not a shape made out by casting the metal into a mold, but each one pressed by a 1000t press and cooling.
The handle shape design is filled in with all the ideas in the casting theory. Single....semi - double... many rational shapes where made (The Straight Cork and Black EVA were made at this time) The handle base is finished up with cutting and grinding. At first there was silver almite finish available only, but now chrome metallic is available too. The surface hardness is very high and scratch -resistant.
There are two finish types on the ALM handle parts: SA (silver almite - the original) and the NEW CH (metallic Chrome)

The design, shape, and everything is the same from the Genesis so every type of collets and collet cap parts etc. have complete compatibility. The Collet cap, hood, collet, and every part is now finished by shaving aluminum. （ It used to be that collet caps were shaved aluminum, hood as ABS resin with gilt, and the collet as ABS resin)

Originally the collet has been made out of ABS resin. Changing it to shaved aluminum made sensing vibration spec in boron rods way better. The moving collet inside the handle is settled by 2 rubber rings, and the vibration is transmitted directly to the hand by fixed collet and collet caps. Joining the collet and rod blank is done without a free space between, thus less welding is required.
If advised of your own outside blank diameter cut by 0.1m (8.1 mm,8.7 mm etc.) , we can supply you the parts with inside-diameter adjusted on a lathe.

There were many requests for Straight semi-double and double handles, but because of the shaft in the old type, it was impossible to make. In the New handle, this handle shaft is made straight and possible to bring out short to long straight handle whichever you like., The Butt plate on the end of grip has Restaffine's original logo [Fish and Heart] etched on. (Inside has a weight balancer built in) Each one etched by hand. |

ACX、AEX straight grips are available for a Custom Butt Plate option other than the AB rings. (Although the ring is expensive, The handle has a fine finish since it is Custom made)
Special parts where Winchester Bullets processed as weight balancers, etched to an original push with Nickel Silver Rope Knurl rings.
